CoinFestUK 2018 is quickly approaching and is set to run April 5, 6, and 7 at the Manchester Conference Centre. What originally started as 100 bitcoiners gathering in a small coffee shop, has now turned into a massive conference with speakers, exhibits, activities, and so much more.
Bitcoin and crypto enthusiasts from around the world will be gathering to make this year’s conference the biggest one yet. Bitcoin connoisseur Andrew Wagner founded the event in 2013 in Vancouver, and in 2016 Adam Rizvi organized and hosted it for the first time in Manchester. The event attracted more than 200 people.
The 2017 event saw even greater success hosting 5 workshops, 19 speakers, and 11 exhibitions. 2018 is going to be even bigger and better.
Visitors can look forward to a range of workshops for all levels of enthusiasts. There will be workshops for beginner bitcoin, mining education, trading, hardware wallet and the ethereum token. Coinfest attracts speakers from around the world focusing on a wide range of topics.
The event is not focused on one cryptocurrency or project so there is sure to be something for everyone. There will also be a range of exhibitions from all different kinds of projects and companies. Conference goers can learn about projects from around the world, buy crypto collectibles, meet new and established teams and talk to developers.
The workshops will be hosted by Portsmouth Crypto, InspiringCoUK, ColmoreFX, Glynn Bird, and Blockchain Manchester. Some exhibitors to pay close attention to are MyHardwareWallet, MUE, Ethbits, Crown, and BlockChainers. Additional workshops and exhibitions are still to be confirmed.
The event will also host a range of crypto activities including:
A crypto-themed cash grabber with custom Bitcoin notes. The guest with the highest score at the end of the day will win a prize. They will also be hosting a crypto-themed photo booth, a crypto raffle, and some other surprise activities.
The speaker lineup is jam-packed with people from around the world covering a variety of topics. There are currently 10 speakers set to hit the stage in April, but CoinFest is hoping to add even more.
The current lineup is Dominik Thor, Theo Goodman, Ilyas Vali, the Crown team, Biyan Mienert, Mohamed El Kandra, BitcoinRat, Danny Brewster, William Hern and Matthew Rodbourne.
The official three-day schedule for all speakers, workshops, and exhibitors has not been released, but as soon as the completed schedule is ready it will be added to the CoinFestUK site.
Following feedback from last year’s CryptoArtGallery event, CoinFestUk will be combining the art gallery into the 2018 event. Lynx Art Collection will be presenting limited Bitcoin artwork available in both Print and Canvas mediums. All prints are printed on a beautiful 10 point cardstock, similar to a postcard.
The event sponsors include Ethbits, Monetaryunit, BitCore, Crown, MyHardwareWallet, BittyBot, XGOX, InspiringCo, MyBit.io, and CoinCorner. The headline sponsor is Ethbits. Media partners include OptionMag, BlockOnomi, BraveNewCoin, BTCManager, and EventChain.
Enthusiasts are not required to obtain a ticket, although all tickets are free and highly recommended. The two main benefits of obtaining a ticket are first securing a slot for workshops and second entry into the free raffle.
It’s important to remember that only ticket holders can be entered into the raffle. Tickets can be secured at https://coinfestuk.org/tkts/.Profits from all future CoinFestUK events will go to the We Love Manchester Fund.
