What does Issuer mean?
Issuer is a term used in financial circles to describe the organization that creates or releases a currency or stock. Cryptocurrency traders have also adopted the term, despite the fact that cryptocurrencies aren’t technically issued at all.
This is because there’s no central authority in cryptocurrencies to decide when new coins should be created. Instead they are mined in the process of verifying network transactions. In some crypto circles the term issuer is used to refer to those who invest in cryptocurrencies or in the mining process.
