Centralized

What does centralized mean?

Something which is centralized is controlled by a single group or entity. Corporations are centralized agencies, as are governments.

This also means that company shares and fiat currencies are centralized. Centralized systems benefit from regulations that limit abuses and fraud, however decentralized systems benefit from resistance to failures and attacks.
